Policeman in custody for seven days for murder of wife

KANGAR: A police corporal has been remanded in custody for seven days from today to help investigate the death of his wife who was shot dead yesterday here in a house in Kampung Bendang Baru, Simpang Empat.

The suspect’s pre-trial detention was issued by Judge Ana Rozana Mohd Nor to facilitate investigations under Section 302 of the Criminal Code.

The 27-year-old suspect is currently being treated at Tuanku Fauziah Hospital here.

Yesterday, Bernama reported that a police officer was arrested after he allegedly shot and killed his wife and police are still investigating the motive behind the murder. -Bernama
