Police investigate graffiti threat at West Aurora High School

AURORA, Illinois — Authorities are investigating after a graffiti threat was found on a wall at West Aurora High School.

According to the Aurora Illinois Police Department, the ominous graffiti read, “Get ready west on 101222 I kill.”

Officials were alerted to the threat Tuesday night after it was reported circulating on Snapchat and being shared on Facebook.

Officers with the APD’s Bureau of Neighborhood Police have spoken to witnesses who called 911.

Detectives work with the school district administration to conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.

As an added security measure, officers will serve as additional patrols around the high school.
