Police: 3 people were shot dead before a high school football game in Ohio

TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) – Ohio police said three people were injured in a shooting Friday night before a high school football game.
A student and two adults were injured and taken to area hospitals after being shot dead outside Whitmer High School stadium in West Toledo around 9:30 p.m., WTOL-TV reported.
Police said the victims, who were not named, are allowed to recover, WTOL reported
Police said two people were in custody following the shooting during the game between Whitmer and Central Catholic High School, WTOL reported.
The names of the arrested suspects were not immediately known.
Washington Local Schools spokeswoman Katie Peters said in a statement that the three victims were the only people injured during the shooting, the channel reported.
“No guests were injured during the evacuation and we couldn’t be prouder of our students, staff, Whitmer fans and our Central Catholic guests,” Peters said.
The school district’s security and screening measures were applied during the event, Peters said.
