In the latest episode of our Masters of Disasters series, we talk about tsunamis after a volcanic eruption near Tonga last month that caused waves that were felt across the Pacific. There was none of the devastation the world witnessed at Fukushima in 2011 or over the Indian Ocean in 2004. But what happened in Tonga got us thinking: Why are the effects of tsunamis so devastating when so little is known about them?
