Podcast: Another LA Fire Department Scandal

Last May, the Palisades Fire swept through the Santa Monica Mountains. About 1,000 people were ordered to evacuate, and about 500 homes were threatened by the flames. When this emergency unfolded, the officer in charge at the Los Angeles Fire Department’s operations center that oversaw the fire was allegedly intoxicated. This is the result of a study commissioned by the city administration.
