Petition to remove Kanye West from Coachella lineup gains momentum

Critics have rallied to remove Kanye West – now known as Ye – from the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival lineup.

A Change.org petition has called for the rapper to be removed from next month’s festival headlining. At the time of writing, it has garnered over 7,000 signatures.

It was started by a user using the alias Kim Pete on Thursday (March 17) after West was suspended from Instagram for a post attack The daily News host Trevor Noah with a racial slur.

The caption for the petition reads: “No one seems to want to stand up to him and he fires at those who do too.”

It continued, “Coachella (along with other brand names that still work with him) should be ashamed and stop giving him a platform. Please sign & share!”

Kanye has accused Kardashian of distanced him from their four children and slammed her for allowing her eight-year-old daughter to use TikTok.

He’s also sparked backlash with the recently released music video “Eazy,” which shows the funeral of a cartoon character who bears a close resemblance to Davidson.

Alongside West, Harry Styles and Billie Eilish will headline the upcoming festival.

Coachella will be held April 15-17 and April 22-24 in Indio, California.
