It’s been a hot minute since the last war of stars Project was on everyone’s lips, however The Mandalorian Season 3 will change that soon enough when it premieres on March 1st. As the marketing machinery gets going, Pedro Pascal has also started teasing the upcoming journey in a new interview.

Pascal is now famous – if you can say that of an actor of his caliber – for Joel Miller in The last of usbut if you close your eyes while watching the HBO adaptation, his voice will remind you of a very special Mandalorian bounty hunter making his way across the galaxy.

Din Djarin is making a comeback alongside his ward, Grogu, and from just the first two trailers, it seems to us that Season 3 will be about the quest for Mandalore and the powerful artifact that resides at its heart. Djarin is now the one wielding the Darksaber, giving him the right to fight for the throne of Mandalore, although he would be rid of it if he could.

The coming together of the Mandalorians and the inevitable clash will fuel much of Season 3’s storyline, so fans are really hoping to see more bits of their culture as well. Luckily, Pascal just confirmed those hopes in an interview with Empire.

“What I love most about Season 3 is how much the world opens up in terms of Mandalore and the Mandalorian,” he said. “It means so many different facets of culture, politics, rules and discoveries. Delicious doors are wide open.”

We don’t exactly see Din take the throne of Mandalore for himself and become king, but thanks to Moff Gideon’s trickery, the protagonist’s fate is now intertwined with the rest of his kin.

As already said, The Mandalorian Season 3 will premiere on March 1st on Disney Plus. And much like Season 2, this upcoming run will consist of eight episodes. Pedro Pascal teases an exploration of Mandalorian culture in Season 3
