Pasadena woman killed: Vehicle hijacked at gunpoint, found abandoned in Houston, body found

PASADENA, TX (KTRK) — The body of a woman was found in an abandoned vehicle that Pasadena police believe was seen at gunpoint during a hijacking earlier Monday.

Pasadena police confirmed they were investigating a concrete-barrier camp site in southeast Houston where an SUV containing the body was located. The Houston Police Department tweeted that they were assisting with the investigation at 5200 Cedar Crest, near Mykawa and the South Loop.

Police made the connection to this scene and an aggravated kidnapping call received at 9:51 am. According to officials, a caller reported seeing a man shove a woman at gunpoint into a vehicle in the 3800 block of Red Bluff in Pasadena.

Police added that the woman was found inside the vehicle with a gunshot wound. Her identity was not immediately released.

Although no arrests have been made, Pasadena police believe the alleged kidnapper and victim were involved in two previous domestic violence incidents with the department. Officials in those calls contacted prosecutors to press charges but were not accepted.
