Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe swapped shirts with a Nantes player who lost his daughter two weeks ago.

PSG defeated Nantes 4-2 at the Parc des Princes on Saturday night, with Mbappe scoring a last-minute finish.

In the process, he became the club’s all-time top scorer, taking his overall tally to 201, surpassing Edinson Cavani.

But despite the performance, Mbappe still took the time to seek out opponent Ignatius Ganago, who lost his daughter two weeks ago.

As a show of respect, the France international swapped shirts with the 24-year-old, who also scored during the competition.

His daughter Chloe tragically lost her life at the age of five last month after suffering from an illness.

Nantes wrote on Twitter: “FC Nantes mourns. It is with deep sadness that Nantes Football Club has learned of the death of our striker’s daughter, Ignatius Ganago.

“We think of you a lot, Gana. The club is with you through this horrific ordeal.”

Accordingly Espoirs de FootMbappe and Ganago swapped shirts in the tunnel after the match and hugged warmly.

PSG extended their lead at the top of Ligue 1 by 11 points by beating Nantes on Saturday.

The 24-year-old scored his 201st goal for the club in his 247th appearance after initially joining on loan from Monaco in 2017.

After the game, the world champion said: “I didn’t put any pressure on myself in the last five minutes, I knew I was going to beat it and I didn’t want to force it.

“It’s great that the goal came at the end. Playing here is a privilege, I’ve improved as a player, I’ve changed a lot.

“Playing at PSG is something special for me. If you had told me I would score with the captain’s armband to break the record, I would not have believed it.”
