Scream is the thinking man’s horror franchise. Consciously meta, serving as a reaction to twenty years of slashers that came before Scream somehow managed to survive as a continuous canon. Since 1996 Scream There have been four sequels, and a fifth is in preparation – but without the main part of the Neve Campbell series.
