One killed, another injured in Hawaiian Gardens shooting – Orange County Register

A man was killed and another injured in a shooting in Hawaiian Gardens early Saturday, authorities said.
According to Deputy Amy Fantom, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, authorities were initially called around 1 a.m. to a reported assault with a deadly weapon at the intersection of Norwalk Boulevard and 226th Street. The two victims were found a few blocks east along a residential sidewalk at Block 22300 of Wardham Avenue with gunshot wounds.
One victim was pronounced dead at the scene. The other victim was taken to a hospital, although information about his condition was not immediately available.
The identity of the deceased was not released until the family was notified. There was no description of the suspected shooter.
