SAN ANTONIO – NIOSA organizers will continue the tradition of ‘hanging the rain rock’ on Monday to stave off inclement weather ahead of the four-day festival.
The “hanging of the rain rock” takes place at 10 am in front of the NIOSA headquarters and will be broadcast live in this article. If no live stream is available, try again later.
NIOSA begins Tuesday at historic La Villita and runs every night through Friday. Gates will open at 5:30pm and close at 10:30pm
While the chance of storms late Monday night is low, the chance of rain falls out of forecast through Tuesday. While rain can mess up Fiesta plans, many would welcome it since more than 90% of Texas is in a drought.
