Nintendo Switch Online players get another free game – and it’s from a fan-favorite series

A NEW game from one of Nintendo’s favorite series is coming to Nintendo Switch Online next week.
It’s part of the Nintendo 64 library, so people will need the expansion pack to play it.

Pokémon Stadium will join Nintendo Switch Online Wednesday April 12, 2023.
There is no additional cost if you already subscribe to the Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier.
Pokémon Stadium was the first 3D Pokémon game where you could battle your friends with your favorite mons.
There’s also a single player mode where you can take on the Kanto Gymnastics leaders Elite 4 and even defeat Mewtwo.
Since it’s part of the Switch Online bundle, you can compete against other players online in one-on-one battles.
However, it seems that players cannot transfer their trained Pokemon from games like Pokemon Red, Blue, or Yellow.
Instead, they have to use the rental Pokemon on offer, which often come with disappointing movesets.
Aside from fighting, Pokémon Stadium is also known for its mini-games.
You can charge batteries with Pikachu, eat sushi with Lickitung, and jump high with Magikarp, among nine other mini-games.
These are also available to play with your friends online or locally in your living room.
Nintendo has also promised that the updated version, Pokémon Stadium 2, will be available on the platform at a later date.
This has updates to the Pokémon and Move sets, as well as a new set of mini-games to play.
