She was tragically pronounced dead at the scene, a long lane that stretches behind houses and warehouses in north London.
Neighbors said they heard a woman screaming in the early hours of the morning and began filming.
One told the Evening Standard: “We heard screaming early this morning, it sounded like a man and woman arguing very loudly.
“I thought it was a husband/wife argument, so I tried to ignore her.”
They said they stopped filming when the series ended, but it started again.
Another neighbor saw the woman’s body being dragged out on a stretcher around 10pm on Sunday.
A Met spokeswoman said the death was being treated as “unexpected” and the force had launched an investigation.
She added: “Police were called to Grange Road, N17, following reports of an unresponsive local woman.
“An investigation is ongoing to determine her identity and her next of kin.
“The death is unexpectedly being treated and investigated at this time.
“No arrests, investigation continues.”
A spokesman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 1.10pm yesterday (2 April) with reports of an incident near Grange Road, Tottenham.
“We dispatched a number of resources to the scene, including an ambulance crew, a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle, an incident commander and a clinical team leader.
“Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of our crews, one person was pronounced dead at the scene.”
Anyone with information should call the police on 101 with the reference 3179/2April.
