Multiple injuries after Michigan State campus shooting

At least one person has died after shots rang out at Michigan State University, a university spokesman told the Detroit News, after campus police previously reported multiple injuries to a suspect at large.
Multiple injuries were reported after shots were fired at Michigan State University, prompting stay-at-home orders Monday night while searching for a suspect, campus police said.
“The suspect is believed to be on foot. Community members on and off campus should continue to shelter in place. Police continue to respond,” MSU police tweeted.
Police said they are looking for a suspect, who is described as a small man wearing a mask.
Police reported gunshots fired around 8:30 p.m. ET near Berkey Hall on the East Lansing campus and tweeted, “Please secure immediately.”
About an hour later, campus police reported, “There is another reported shooting in IM East.”
“It appears that there is only one suspect at this time,” MSU police said.
IM East is a campus fitness center about a mile from Berkey Hall, where police first fired shots.
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said she would be briefed on the university shooting.
“I was briefed on the Michigan State University shooting. Michigan State Police are on the scene along with @msupolice, local law enforcement and first responders. Let’s wrap our arms around the Spartan community tonight. We will update everyone as we learn more,” the governor tweeted.
Detroit’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives also tweeted that it was “responding to an active shooter” at the university.
FBI special agents are also helping, a spokesman for the FBI’s Detroit office told CNN.
This is an evolving story and will be updated.
