Motorcyclist killed in accident in Garden Grove – Orange County Register

GARDEN GROVE – A collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck Tuesday night left the cyclist dead in Garden Grove.

Garden Grove Police and paramedics from the Orange County Fire Department responded at 8:26 p.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Knott Street, where a man on a motorcycle was heading in the direction East on Chapman over the Knott intersection when he collided with a pickup truck Garden Grove Police Department traffic investigator Dan Mihalik said turn left from Chapman heading west to Knott heading south.

Mihalik said the motorcyclist, 56, of Garden Grove, was seriously injured in the collision. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

The Garden Grove Neighborhood Transportation Unit is investigating the collision. Police believe alcohol and/or drugs are not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
