MLB Playoffs 2022: The Houston Astros hold a postseason rally at City Hall with players Jeremy Peña and Chas McCormick

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) — The Houston Astros greet fans in the postseason with a rally at City Hall later Friday morning.

And while we know the team had a stacked roster on the baseball field, they also have a strong starting lineup for the 11 o’clock event.

Players Jeremy Pena and Chas McCormick are among the guests of honor expected, along with manager Dusty Baker, general manager James Click, Mayor Sylvester Turner and fan-favorite green alien mascot Orbit.

Note, however, that you may want to stop and refuel at some of the event’s food trucks while waiting for these guest appearances. The players and other members of the Astros organization will not be there until 12:30 p.m

Since it’s in downtown Houston, get there early to account for parking. City Hall is located at 901 Bagby.

It’s not the only way to get the playoffs buzz and show your love for the hometown team.

The Astros have unveiled the fifth installment of their H-Town Showcase, a mural program that has tapped local artists to create original artwork that celebrates the city and the team.

A new mural has been unveiled at Minute Maid Park, Baybrook, The Woodlands and Towne Lake each month since April.

Artist Jesse de Leon’s latest piece is located on Crawford and Capitol in downtown Houston.

The Astros will begin their first postseason series Tuesday at Minute Maid Park. You play the winner of the AL Wild Card Series between the Blue Jays and the Mariners.
