Community members picked up brushes for a painting project along Mission Viejo’s Oso Creek Trail over the weekend.
They helped transform the tunnel through which the path passes at Jeronimo Road and Arbolitos into a public work of art. The Tunnel Vibration mural uses an optical illusion that makes the walls of the tunnel appear to be vibrating due to the high-contrast colors painted along its length.
The city even plans to later host concerts in the park, which will use the tunnel’s acoustic properties to create a further connection to the theme of the mural.
