Michael Beale reveals Rangers’ progress in permanent contract with Malik Tillman
The Bayern Munich loanee scored twice as the Ibrox club beat Dundee United in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
Rangers have been vocal about wanting Tillman to sign a permanent deal with the club and Beale reckons the American wants to stay too.
He explained: “There is an option we can take, but as with all things, the player has a say and so does the club they play for.
“A lot of things are agreed but obviously there was a change of manager there too, that’s not part of the negotiations I’m involved in but I’m fully up to date.
“There were further discussions about this during the international break, so everything is positive at the moment.
“Obviously Malik and I have a fantastic relationship and I think he really enjoys playing here. I think you just have to look at how he’s grown over the time he’s been here that he’s really enjoying his football. ”
He continued, “I’ve never felt anything other than him. He’s really involved with the staff and really invested in the team.
“Since we’ve been here, we’ve made quite a few changes to Malik’s game in certain aspects.
“And today we asked him to play close to Alfredo because we thought we were going to give ourselves a physical presence that we could play into him with Dundee United sitting deep.
“It’s been a slight change from normal for him but he’s coming in on two goals so he’s showing good signs of being able to do a variety of jobs and I think he has a really high limit at such a young age.
“So yes, everything is positive around this boy at the moment.”
