Metra: Train meets car, two taken to hospital

CHICAGO – A railroad spokesman said a Metra train struck a car Sunday afternoon in Morgan Park.

Two people – both from the hit car – were taken to the hospital. What condition they are in is currently unclear.

The collision occurred near the intersection of W 111th St and Marshfield Ave. According to Metra, the train was in express mode between the 35th and Blue Island and was not supposed to stop.
