Mayor Henry appears in court and pleads guilty to drinking and driving

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WANE) — Mayor Tom Henry pleaded guilty to drunk driving in court Monday after an accident that led to his arrest Saturday night.
A likely plea agreement will be presented at a Nov. 7 sentencing.
The Allen County Attorney’s Office shared a copy of the agreement with WANE 15. It requires the mayor to not drink for 365 days and to submit to random alcohol or drug tests. He would be suspended from driving for 90 days and will pay an undisclosed amount in damages to the driver of the car he crashed into at Block 4400 of Old Mill Road.
The Allen County Attorney told WANE 15 that this was a standard arrangement for a first offense of drunk driving.
