Marvel fans dare to ask if the MCU’s most controversial heroes will return for Avengers: Secret Wars

Avengers: Endgame really set the bar for what fans have come to expect from a film that closes an entire MCU saga. With all the superheroes we’ve seen on our screens so far teaming up in a battle against Thanos, many are hoping we’ll do it again Avengers: Secret Wars, but does that mean all heroes will return? Even the less popular ones?

The fourth phase of the MCU has brought with it a whole new cast of heroes, especially now that Marvel Studios is introducing them through both their Disney series and films. We’ve met Shang Chi, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, Monica Rambeau aka Photon, America Chavez, Yelena Belova, Kate Bishop, She-Hulk and the Eternals (of course there are many more newcomers).

The latter group received well below average audience and critical rating for an MCU theatrical debut in 2021, and since we haven’t actually heard a glimpse of them, many are wondering how and when they will reappear in the future. There’s been a lot of talk lately that a second film is in the works, but that hasn’t been backed up by an official statement yet.

By the end of the film, half the group had been carted across the universe by a Celestial, so it’s unlikely we’d see them all again unless this is addressed Secret Wars unless Eternal 2 takes one of those free film slots in between Avengers: The Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars.

Some fans on Reddit are asking questions about exactly how these godlike beings will make their way into the conclusion of the Multiverse saga.

They indeed have immense abilities that would probably be very useful against someone as powerful as Kang, but how are they trapped in the end?

One fan had many theories as to how the team might get involved later, including introducing another Eternal character from the comics, Kronos.

Some felt it might be difficult to get into since the film doesn’t feel connected to the rest of the MCU at all.

Another reminded her of that eternal I’ve mentioned a great many other events that happened within the MCU that are still a part of it if they aren’t connected in a more definitive way.

Some introduce themselves in the sequel eternal can be released and how that might enable them to participate Secret Wars.

Until we officially hear from Marcel Studios that the Eternals are back in the game, we can’t really see them in the future of the MCU. Marvel fans dare to ask if the MCU’s most controversial heroes will return for Avengers: Secret Wars
