Marcel Sabitzer does not rule out staying at Manchester United beyond the summer

Marcel Sabitzer has not ruled out staying at Manchester United beyond the summer and emphasizes that he “feels very good” at the club.
The 28-year-old midfielder sealed a season-ending loan spell from Bayern Munich at Old Trafford in January, with United quickly scrambling to find a last-minute replacement for the injured Christian Eriksen.
Sabitzer has impressed under Erik ten Hag so far, having played in midfield in United’s last three games. He currently hasn’t lost a game, won two and drawn one.
The Austria international says he’s happy at United but refused to settle on whether he’d extend his stay, suggesting we’ll see what happens at the end of the season.
He said: “Right now it’s a loan, that’s all I can say.
“I like it here, I feel very comfortable here, I like the team, I like the club, the atmosphere at Old Trafford. We’ll see what happens in the summer.”
United moved up to five points from leaders Arsenal with a 2-0 win over Leeds at Elland Road on Sunday.
Two second-half goals from Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho sealed all three points for United, who also extended their lead over fourth-placed Newcastle in the Premier League.
Sabitzer said United were “ready” and trying to achieve their ambitions for the season but conceded catching Arsenal and fighting for the title will be difficult.
“There are big games ahead, big things ahead, we need to keep going, keep improving, keep the energy up and we’ll see what happens at the end of the season, but we’re ready to go,” said Sabitzer.
Pressed on whether there is a shot at the title, he added: “It’s tough, we’re a little behind them (Arsenal) but if we go ahead and do our job, be prepared and we’ll see.”
United are now preparing for this Thursday’s Europa League play-off first leg against Barcelona.
