Man shoots stepson during argument in Compton, sheriff’s officers say

A man shot dead his 29-year-old stepson Thursday night during an argument at a house in Compton, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department said.
Around 8 p.m., deputies responded to reports of gunfire in the 14900 block of Clymar Avenue, according to investigators. When officers arrived, they found the victim lying on the street in front of the house with multiple gunshot wounds.
The man, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said.
The victim had gone to his mother and stepfather’s home, an argument broke out and the stepfather shot the man several times, sheriff’s officers said.
The stepfather was present when deputies arrived and is cooperating with the investigation, officials said. A firearm was seized at the crime scene.
