“Man of Steel” fans have big problems with “The Flash” trailer

The DCU’s chaotic first decade had its fair share of ups and downs, but the fact that the film that launched the entire franchise didn’t even come close to getting a sequel has to count as one of the most bizarre, especially considering how popular it is man of Steel still part of the fandom to this day.
Warner Bros. desperately wanted the shared superhero universe to walk before it even learned to walk, so Ben Affleck was immediately drafted Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justicewho fed directly into the justice league Debacle. Occasional murmurs surfaced about another Henry Cavill solo film, but it was never officially in active development.
As you can imagine, the first trailer that brings back Michael Shannon’s General Zod and pits him against a Kryptonian character who isn’t Kal-El inevitably ruffled more than a few feathers with Zack Snyder’s origin story for the canon Big Blue DCU Boy Scout is already being used as a weapon to destroy Sasha Calle’s Supergirl.
Hyped by none other than James Gunn as one of the best costumed capers he has ever seen, The Lightning had many expectations given the excitement surrounding the first look footage. For the most part it did them justice and some more, but there would always be a singing band of critics ready to pounce.
In fact, they’ve been sharpening their knives for years, so nothing has come up other than negative comparisons to the work of Zack Snyder.
