Man arrested after serious attack in Co Kildare – The Irish Times

A man has been arrested after a serious attack in Co Kildare that left another man in hospital in critical condition.

Gardaí are investigating the incident, which came to light after a man in his 40s was discovered with serious injuries outside a residential building in the Piercetown area of ​​Newbridge around 10.30am on Wednesday.

He was taken to Naas General Hospital where he is being treated.

The crime scene is currently being kept for technical investigation.

On Thursday evening, Gardaí said they had arrested a man in his 30s who was being held at Newbridge Garda Station under the terms of the Criminal Justice Act as part of that investigation.
