Here’s our betting preview and top picks from this week’s games…

Benfica vs Liverpool: betting tip

Three Champions League games this week have three clear favorites just fighting for victory and Liverpool are one of them.

The bookies are offering over 7 for the Portuguese outfit for a reason.

Liverpool look like a big contender to win the Premier League behind Manchester City, they have already won the EFL Cup and are targeting a potential Cup win.

Despite losing their second leg against Inter Milan, they won 2-1 on aggregate and held against the Italian team.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have since won four clean sheets in all competitions and were able to give Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane less than 90 minutes to freshen them up for the game.

Salah has scored eight goals in eight Champions League appearances and is unlikely to score another goal after Egypt’s World Cup elimination.

talkSPORT EDGE tip: Salah and Mane score with 15/4 (Bet365).

Man City vs Atlético Madrid: betting tip

This will be the first-ever meeting between these two sides in European competition, but it will also be the fourth clash between Pep Guardiola and Diego Simeone.

Man City are in contention for the title as things stand, along with many other hugely important games leading up to the end of the season.

But City will face Atletico Madrid, who have been in decent form both in LaLiga and in this competition.

Atletico beat City’s rivals and neighbors in the preliminary round and narrowly won 2-1 on both legs.

Since then, the Spanish side have continued their winning streak and appear poised to take on the Premier League champions.

City, however, dominated the round of 16 game against Sporting, beating United 4-1 in a huge Manchester derby just before the second leg last month.

They have only conceded once against Southampton in the FA Cup quarter-finals since the derby and should be legitimate favorites again.

Villarreal vs Bayern Munich: betting tip

Bayern Munich are the clear favorites for this clash, but nothing is ever certain in the Champions League.

Leroy Sane has been involved in 12 goals in his last eight games for the German side this season, with six goals and six assists.

His opponent Gerard Moreno has scored twice and provided three assists in just 276 minutes of play in European competition and is sure to pose a threat this week.

But Munich are incredibly strong in defense and want to win another Bundesliga with nine points at the top of the table.

In the last round they won against RB Salzburg 8:2 on aggregate, the second leg ended narrowly with 7:1.

After another hat-trick by Robert Lewandowski and a master class.

talkSPORT EDGE tip: Lewandowski and Sane score 3.29/1 (Paddy Power).

Chelsea vs Real Madrid: betting tip

Real Madrid made a wonderful comeback against a strong PSG side in the round of 16.

They went down 2-0 on aggregate thanks to Kylian Mbappe but his French teammate Karim Benzema didn’t back down, scoring a quick hat-trick in the second half to seal the win for the Spanish side.

He has been incredibly productive this season, scoring 24 goals in 26 games in La Liga and eight goals in just seven games in the Champions League.

The French striker has scored over 30 goals in La Liga every season since the 2017/18 campaign, with his tally being 32, 36, 37, 34, and is on track to regain that level.

Chelsea won’t have it easy though, the reigning European champions are consistent in these types of games, winning their last-16 tie 4-1 on aggregate against Lille.

The Blues narrowly missed out on winning the EFL Cup on penalties in February, are targeting the FA Cup semi-finals and once again find themselves in the last eight of the Champions League.

talkSPORT EDGE tip: Benzema scores and draws at 13/2 (Betfred).
