Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp insists there is ‘no reason to worry’ over Mohamed Salah contract talks.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has claimed “there is nothing to worry about” after revealing he is happy with Mohamed Salah’s contract talks and current form.
Salah, 29, whose contract expires in June 2023, is reportedly close to agreeing a new deal with the Merseyside giants that would keep him at the club until the end of his career.

“I’m happy with that because there’s nothing new to say – that’s good. The key parties are talking to each other, that’s all I need,” said Klopp before his side’s quarter-final first leg in the Champions League against Benfica.
Liverpool beat Manchester United 5-0 in October and after the game Salah insisted he wanted to stay at Anfield until the end of his career.
“If you ask me, I’d like to stay until the last day of my football career, but I can’t say much about that – it’s out of my hands,” said the Egypt international.
“It depends on what the club wants, not on me.
“At the moment I can’t imagine ever playing against Liverpool. That would make me sad. It’s hard, I don’t want to talk about it, but it would make me really sad.
“Right now I don’t see myself playing against Liverpool but let’s see what will happen in the future.”

However, talks have not progressed as quickly as many would have thought.
And Klopp is not worried about the form of his Egyptian star, who has not scored in his last eight games in open play.
“For me, the level of performance is important, how he brings players together,” said Klopp.
“It’s a tough time for Mo and Sadio to come back from their international assignment and be available again. We see him every day – no need to worry.”
Salah will aim to revive his goalscoring form when the Reds take on Benfica in Lisbon.
Liverpool then head to the Etihad Stadium for a potentially title-winning clash against Manchester City on Sunday.
