Lake Forest driver arrested in Seal Beach hit-and-run that injured 5 – Orange County Register

A 23-year-old driver suspected in a hit-and-run accident in Seal Beach that hospitalized five people on February 11 has been arrested.
On Sunday, February 19, Jahson Imgrund of Lake Forest surrendered to Seal Beach police and was taken into custody on suspicion of aggravated hit-and-run assault, Lt. Julia Clasby of the Seal Beach Police Department. Police say Imgrund initially fled the accident on foot after running a red light at the intersection of Pacific Coast Highway and Main Street and colliding with another vehicle.
Volunteers from the West County Community Emergency Response Team assisted Seal Beach officials as they searched the neighborhood collecting surveillance footage and witness testimony in the days following the crash. The investigation led to the identification of the previously unidentified suspect, Imgrund.

The support of volunteers searching the neighborhood, residents searching for additional video evidence, and the continued concern for the victims and their families demonstrate the close ties of the Seal Beach community,” said Michael Henderson, Seal Beach Police Chief. in a statement.
Three of the five victims who were hospitalized after the crash have been discharged. The remaining two victims are no longer in serious condition, Clasby said.
