Kyle Walker’s allegations are “a private matter,” says Guardiola

LONDON: Pep Guardiola (Picture) said the allegations that Manchester City defender Kyle Walker indecently exposed himself in a bar were a “private matter”.
The police are investigating after the allegations against the England full-back were made in a national newspaper.
City manager Guardiola told reporters on Friday it was a “private matter”.
“We resolved it internally and spoke to him. Of course, this is not the place to discuss private situations,” he said.
The incident is said to have happened during a two-day break following City’s Premier League win over Newcastle last week.
Walker is understood to have denied the allegations and reported back to training this week as usual.
On the general question of how important it is for players to pay attention to their behavior in public, Guardiola said: “It’s completely different than years ago. You know it.
“When you open the door at home, you have to know that no matter what you do, you will be filmed. She is part of society.”
City, who travel to Crystal Palace on Saturday, are currently second in the Premier League, five points behind leaders Arsenal. –AFP
