Kae Tempest releases “Nice Idea” in support of Record Store Day

Kae Tempest, the acclaimed British artist known for her unique blend of poetry, music and performance, has kicked off 2023 by releasing a 4-track EP titled Nice Idea.
Kae Tempest just gifted us a new 4 track EP called Nice Idea, due out on Record Store Day. Produced by Dan Carey, the EP was recorded over a quick 5-day span during a rare hiatus in Kae’s hectic 2022 touring schedule.
The title track ‘Nice Idea’ has already been released alongside an accompanying video which was filmed in the duo’s home of south east London and created by longtime friend Kwake Bass.

When asked about the track, Kae said, “This song is about wanting to stay in bed with the person you’re in love with all day. Imagine if you could just shut out the whole world and enjoy each other. Good idea.”
2023 will be another massive year for Kae Tempest with the release of her new collection of poetry, “Divisible by Itself and One,” due out April 27 on Picador. They will also embark on a sold-out tour of Australia starting in February, including a performance at the legendary Sydney Opera House.
With four studio albums, a novel, her first non-fiction book (On Connection), three plays and five volumes of poetry, Kae Tempest has firmly established himself as one of the most intriguing, thoughtful, provocative and critically acclaimed artists of our time.
