On Tuesday, October 4, road-hop sensation Mohbad shared video footage of an alleged assault he suffered on the hands of the Naira Marley crew after asking for a manager change.
The publication drew a lot of interest and raised many eyebrows as this was no longer the first time the artist had long gone online to talk about Naira Marley and his label being after his life. Shortly after his tweet went viral, his supervisor Naira Marley responded by claiming the artist was a lie.
He claimed that Mohbad had a history of becoming violent while intoxicated, which became the source of the uproar. Mohbad issued a lengthy statement on Twitter the day before, October 6, claiming that the label owner’s story was fake and that it was disrespectful of him to spread the tale every time they attack him, that he was under the influence of alcohol.
“The last two days have left indelible scars on my heart.” I’ve always wanted to make real songs to support my family and myself.
As a street performer, I think the Marlian Family could be great health for me.
However, recent events and certain truths have come to light that threaten my peace, my health and my profession.
Due to these issues, I informed Naira Marley of my intention to change managers in the Marlian WhatsApp organization chat.
That didn’t really sit well with my ultra-modern superior, Tunde (his brother).
In the chat he had numerous outbursts of anger and protests.
On October 4, 2022, I went to Naira Marley’s home with my producer and a friend to receive this notice and seek a nonviolent resolution.
We were in the studio and some of Naira’s staff were present including Sid, Shuddy, Seyi and others in addition to Naira and Tunde.
As we started the discussion, I noticed Tunde getting excited. Tunde turned violent and attacked me in the middle of our communiqué.
Sid, Shuddy, Seyi and some of the other boys were also attacked, humiliated and the guys I turned into stripped naked. We just made it out alive.
Three of us were taken to the medical facility for clinical treatment for accidents sustained during the attack.
Naira Marley morphed into the present as the event progressed, and indeed he coordinated part of the attack, teaching the men to overcome us. Some of them get stuck in front of the camera.
Naira Marley’s suggestion that I started the attack because I was drunk is therefore disrespectful as he is fully privy to the records and incidents surrounding this violent attack. However, this isn’t always the first time Naira Marley has lied to bolster his own narrative, and it’s miles hoped that this will be the conclusion.
I am confident that justice will soon be served. “I respect everyone’s support.”
In response to these concerns, other artists, including Bella Shmurda, have weighed in on the fight, claiming that Naira Marley’s employer tightened singer Mohbad’s scenario.
“Justice will be served soon,” Mohbad says of Naira Marley, who allegedly planned and denied his beating.

According to him, a label is not there, but rather to support the development of an artist.
