Jamie Carragher trolls Gary Neville with a hilarious selfie as Manchester United’s ‘terrible defence’ struck as Liverpool clinched a record-breaking 7-0 win

Gary Neville was furious with Manchester United’s defense at Liverpool – and Jamie Carragher was absolutely delighted.

The Red Devils got off to a brilliant start at Anfield but fell back a little against the flow of play due to Cody Gakpo’s curling efforts.

But the wheels of Erik ten Hag’s men went off after the break as they scored another SIX goals to suffer a 7-0 humiliation over their rivals.

United simply couldn’t stomach a scorching start to Liverpool’s half-time as Darwin Nunez doubled the lead in the 47th minute.

A litany of defensive errors allowed Harvey Elliott to fire past David de Gea, where Nunez nodded home to score his seventh Premier League goal.

And just moments later, the Reds had another when Mohamed Salah fired on target from a counterattack, taking Lisandro Martinez by surprise and causing the world champion to fall to the ground in a dizzying mess.

Salah then slipped into Gakpo, who raced towards De Gea before slamming the ball over the Spaniard to make it 3-0 in the 52nd minute.

Sitting next to a shiny Jamie Carragher, Neville was furious at Sky Sports’ comment.

He said, “This is a mess! Shaw’s first pass isn’t good enough.

“You should all do better. From a defensive point of view, the two goals conceded are absolutely appalling.”

Salah would score his own goal after an even worse defense – United conceding seconds from a corner.

The ball was sprayed to Nunez who managed to push it to Salah despite a block from Scott McTominay.

And while spinning on the spot, the Egypt international whipped the ball past De Gea before he could even react to make it a cruise win.

Amazingly, there was more to come as Nunez claimed second place of the game and scored a Jordan Henderson cross past the Red Devils keeper for fifth.

Salah then clinched his second game before substitute Roberto Firmino slipped to his seventh place, sealing a record-breaking win over the Red Devils.

And Carragher couldn’t resist poking fun at his Sky Sports colleague by tweeting this hilarious selfie during the game.
