It’s LIT! Check out our top moments from the 2022 GRAMMYS!

Roommates, the 2022 GRAMMYS are over, but we’re still thinking about all the top moments from the night that got us talking! From surprise winners and unlucky losers to amazing performances and acceptance speeches, the 2022 GRAMMYS didn’t disappoint.

Here are our tips for that top moments at this year’s GRAMMYS:

1. Doja Cat almost missed the prize because she was in the toilet – After losing some of her GRAMMYS categories, it was understandable that Doja Cat decided to take a break from the celebrations and head to the bathroom – but she almost missed her first-ever GRAMMY because of it. While accepting her award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance with SZA, she hilariously admitted she was about to miss her moment because of a bathroom break.

2. Jon Batiste took home album of the year – The very last award of the night at the GRAMMYS carries the heaviest weight… and many fans and viewers were shocked to learn that singer Jon Batiste took home the record of the year. The relatively unknown artist beat heavyweights like Doja Cat, Silk Sonic, Billie Eilish and Taylor Swift.

3. Jazmine Sullivan won her first GRAMMYS – It’s been a long, hard road, but after 15 losses, R&B powerhouse Jazmine Sullivan finally had her GRAMMY moment. Courtesy of her chart-topping and critically acclaimed album Heaux Tales, she took home her first and second trophies from the ceremony.

4. Silk Sonic had a nice swing — If you didn’t stand under a rock last year, you know you couldn’t go anywhere without hearing the melodic tones of Silk Sonic and their hit “Leave The Door Open,” which was responsible for them sweeping the GRAMMYS and received four awards.

5. Justin Bieber teamed up with Giveon and Daniel Cesar for Peaches – Justin Bieber, best known for his catchy pop singles, surprised GRAMMYS audiences by beginning his performance with a slowed-down piano version of “Peaches” before being joined onstage by Giveon and Daniel Caesar.

6. Soy won for Best Reggae Album — There are some GRAMMY wins that really make you scratch your head, and winning soy for Best Reggae Album ahead of the likes of Sean Paul and Spice was definitely something that set social media on fire… and not one good way.

7. HER brought out Lenny Kravitz and Travis Barker – HER has always shown how versatile she is and brought some special guests during her GRAMMYS performances, courtesy of legendary Lenny Kravitz and drummer Travis Barker.

8. Appearance of Lil Nas X – In his short stint in the music industry, Lil Nas X has already mastered the art of performance – and he maintained that same energy at the GRAMMYS when she performed “Industry Baby” with special guest Jack Harlow.
