Is Sanders of the Eagles’ Running Back ready to play on Sunday?

The Eagles sat most of the starting game in their Week 18 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, but that will change when they face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round on Sunday.

However, one guy who won’t play last Sunday is running back to Miles Sanders, who had hand surgery after Week 16, but says he plans to play Sunday against Tampa.

“Yes, sir. Absolutely,” Sanders said with a smile when asked on Friday.

Sanders said he plans to wear some protection on his hands throughout the game, but added that it’s nothing complicated. However, some care should be taken when it comes to pass protection, pass capture and ball protection.

The 24-year-old has had a number of problems in the past with 7 dribbles and 4 losses since entering the tournament in 2019. He has had 1 run this season.

He has been listed as restricted from training throughout this week, but his speaking to the media today is a pretty good indication he will be playing on Sunday.
