Irish legend Rocky Bleier speaks at the NIBCC luncheon

FORT WAYNE, Indiana (WANE) – Irish soccer legend Rocky Bleier spent his Tuesday afternoon at Summit City as the keynote speaker at the Northeast Indiana Baseba Community Council final luncheon.

Bleier served his country in Vietnam in 1968, interrupting his professional football career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Bleier was a member of the 1966 national championship team at Notre Dame and captained its 1967 senior season. After his collegiate career, he was a 16th-round draft choice from Pittsburgh and won four Super Bowls with the franchise.
