IN CONVERTED FIRE TRUCK turned into a two bed house with POLE to travel between floors… and you can stay there

GET a peek inside this incredible fire truck conversion converted into a two bedroom house – complete with a pole to drive between floors.
Brits can burn off the holiday blues with this quirky getaway that will fulfill all your firefighting dreams – without the risk of an open flame.
Dubbed the Red Alert Fire Truck, the incredible pad offers families a unique experience in the heart of the countryside near Blencathra in the Lake District National Park.
It boasts the comforts of cottage living, with the added thrill of some exceptional features you are sure not to find anywhere else.
Prices start at £399 for a week.
The fire truck sleeps four people and features a master bedroom with a king-size bed and a twin bedroom for younger visitors – complete with fire engine furniture.
It’s certainly a paradise for children, who can indulge their imaginations as they play with the costumes and hoses to imitate a firefighter.
There’s even a rail between floors to make that late-night walk into the kitchen for a glass of water that little bit easier.
But don’t worry, it can be locked if boisterous Fireman Sam fans need the security precaution.
You board the fire truck via the charming patio area, ideal for stargazing, al fresco dining and lazy afternoons with your favorite book.
Guests are greeted by a relaxed – and red – space that forms an open plan kitchen and lounge area with plush bean bags and a comfortable sofa that converts into a double bed.
There are many places where you can curl up in front of the Smart TV while someone is cooking in the kitchen.
But the most spectacular part of the fire engine is the private sauna room, which really brings the heat to this hot property.
It’s the perfect place to relax after a long day exploring the southern foothills of Blencathra, one of the most impressive fells in the Northern Lakes.
You can clean up in the shower room and toilet before snuggling into one of the comfortable beds to rest and prepare for another adventure.
Past guests have praised the fire engine as a godsend for active kids, as well as adults with a fire for unique getaways.
One person wrote: “A fabulous place to stay. Grandchildren had a great time getting dressed and there was everything we needed for a comfortable and fun stay.”
Another added: “Both my boys aged 6 and 8 loved the pole and dressing up.”
Another agreed: “The fire pole gave the boys lots of exercise, they played dress up and read their fire service books in the back of the fire truck. They enjoyed every second of it.”
It’s not the only amazing ex-fire engine in Britain, as this couple decided to convert an old fire engine into their dream family home, with a wood burning stove, shower room, sound system and bunk beds for their children on board.

Or you can stay in a converted double-decker bus that has been converted into a holiday home.
