How this Los Angeles restaurateur went from fine dining to selling organic fast food at a mall – Orange County Register

After trying his hand at two short-lived high-end fine-dining restaurants, 48-year-old Ardi Entezam now spins burgers, slices potatoes and makes fries at a walk-in fast-food joint at Westfield Century City mall in Los Angeles.

But the Studio City resident says this is where he should always be.

Entezam is on a mission and this is not your typical fast food joint.

“I want to get people the food they crave and want as quickly as possible, while providing them with the highest organic food quality standards because that’s what people deserve,” said Entezam , the Ardi’s Organics opened in the busy grocery court on September 6th.

Entezam’s menu focuses on all organic ingredients, meaning food is grown without synthetic chemicals like pesticides, hormones, fertilizers and GMOs, and offers gluten-free vegan and vegetarian options. At first glance, Entezam’s menu reads much like any other fast food restaurant.

There is a classic cheeseburger, a nacho cheeseburger, but also a sweet pea burger. There are also regular fries and sweet yam cubes as side dishes on the menu.

“It’s any food that doesn’t hurt your stomach,” he said. “That’s because our customers are eating real beef that’s not injected, so your body is consuming it in a really natural way.”

Entezam, who immigrated to the United States from Iran as a young boy, got his start in the restaurant business at age 12 when he landed a gig at a pizzeria. He started out as a cashier before working his way up to waiter and waiter to help his mother with the family finances.

Later in life he turned to other ventures, including a cigar shop that sold humidors.
