How She-Hulk Episode 7 Secretly Builds Daredevil Plot

She-Hulk: Lawyer was a unique endeavor for Marvel Studios as its half-hour legal comedy format is entirely new to the MCU. The series follows Jennifer Walters after she gets a dose of her cousin’s (Bruce Banner) blood, which instantly changes her life forever. However, despite the project revolving around her, some fans are more focused on waiting for the debut of another character: Daredevil.
Back at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, Marvel Studios confirmed that the hero of Charlie Cox would indeed return at some point in Tatiana Maslany’s currently airing show. But even so far, the details of the plot surrounding his return have been tenuous.
At least it appears, based on previous promotional material, that his role will be at least partly romantic in nature. The two clearly hit it off and their interactions started to get a little steamy in the D23 footage that was shown a couple of weeks ago.

It seems that before Cox’s return, supposedly in the eighth episode, She Hulk secretly set the scene for Matt Murdock’s arrival into Jen’s life and a love dove plot point.

Episode 6 of She-Hulk: Lawyer introduced the world to Josh, a suave new man in Jennifer Walters’ life thanks to a chance meeting at a friend’s wedding.
The two apparently hit it off so well that they started going on multiple dates. It all came to a crescendo when the two finally went the distance and slept together.

Unfortunately, Jen’s new affair had darker intentions. Unbeknownst to her, Josh seems to have copied her entire phone – and brought HulkKing one step closer to the She-Hulk blood he seems desperately covets.

The silver lining, however, is that after spending a day at Abomination’s retreat, Jen felt a lot better and more confident — ready to switch to someone else after being ghosted.

Luckily for them, it seems next week’s episode will almost certainly be the one that sees Charlie Cox return as Daredevil.
From what fans have seen from the trailers, the two will definitely start flirting with each other.

The D23 clip shown to the audience featured a steamy scene where Jen is drawn to Matt Murdock’s charms.
Both can also be seen in previous commercials chatting briefly in a bar. Maybe the two just had a tense argument in the courtroom and want to clear the air?

Anyway, thanks to Josh, who isn’t pictured, Jen is single and ready to mingle — and Daredevil could be the one to fill that gap in her life. In her own words “This guy really kind of makes it for me.”

The beginning of the MCU’s best romance?
While fans may have been robbed of an MCU romance from Black Widow and Daredevil, perhaps Marvel Studios can make amends by putting these two suckers together. When their chemistry holds the landing, it’s easy to see the fandom really take off with the two of them.
But will it be a true romance or just a casual fling?
After all, Daredevil is usually from New York City. Suppose he visits LA, where She Hulk takes place, their paths would naturally not cross too often. But after meeting each other, Jen may start looking for plane tickets to NYC more often.
This, or maybe Maslany’s, attorney hero will be able to win a season 2 extension, giving plenty of time to pull Cox back into her storyline.
Another potential meeting place? Captain America: New World World. It was only recently rumored that the film would bring She-Hulk to the big screen. So if the events of the film take place in NYC, maybe they can find a reason to include Daredevil as well.
She-Hulk: Lawyer is currently airing every Thursday on Disney+ while Captain America: New World Order hits theaters on May 3, 2024. Charlie Cox will return in his own solo series, Daredevil: Rebornin spring 2024.
