Houston Road Rage Inquiry: Harris Co. deputies are looking into Grand Circle shootings near Grand Parkway and Katy Freeway

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) — A shooting that injured one person in western Harris County Wednesday night could be linked to road rage, authorities say.

An investigation was launched in the 23200 block of Grand Circle Boulevard where a person was shot and later flown to the hospital, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez tweeted. The scene isn’t too far from the Grand Parkway and the Katy Freeway.

Harris County Precinct 5 officers were the first to respond to what the sheriff called a “possible street rage incident.”

He added that investigators from his Harris County Sheriff’s Office were called to the scene.

Shortly after the shooting became known, SkyEye flew over the active scene in the parking lot of a Walk-On’s sports bar, where several police and sheriff’s office vehicles were parked.

SkyEye also captured an SUV with three passenger and trunk doors open. It is unclear what role the vehicle plays in the investigation.

This is an evolving story. All updates can be found in this article.
