Houston crime: HPD investigates fatal shooting after man with gun followed another man

HOUSTON, TX (KTRK) — An investigation is underway after a man was shot dead in northwest Houston Thursday night.

The shooting took place at approximately 7:45 p.m. on Antoine’s 5600 block in Tidwell, near the Forest Lake Community.

Officers say a man chased another man with a rifle and now one of them is dead. Police did not say who the victim was at first.

Neither a description of the suspect nor the identity of the victim were immediately released.

This is an ongoing investigation.
