Horseman ‘galloping through traffic’ in Whittier arrested on suspicion of DUI – Orange County Register

It wasn’t a typical police chase.

Someone who refused to stop while riding a horse that was “galloping through traffic” led Whittier police in a brief pursuit on Saturday.

Eventually, the person was taken into custody on suspicion of “drinking under the influence.”

The Whittier Police Department described the incident on social media.

The horse was taken to Whittier Police Station, where it “received a lot of love” from staff, police said.
