The latest images emerged shortly after the brutal tyrant ordered increased production of bomb fuel to expand his rogue state’s nuclear arsenal.

Footage was released Saturday by Washington-based think tank 38 North and appears to indicate a high level of activity at the Yongbyon site, including a new reactor nearing completion.

Images taken on March 3 and 17 showed elevated water discharges from the Experimental Light Water Reactor (ELWR) cooling system.

The think tank says this likely indicates the reactor is nearing completion and will transition to operational status.

The images also showed further construction work at the nuclear site, including new auxiliary buildings around the ELWR – reinforcing the belief that it will soon be operational.

Construction has also started around the uranium enrichment plant, probably to expand its capacity.

The site’s main 5-megawatt reactor remains operational, and some new construction can be seen around it.

“These developments appear to reflect Kim Jong-un’s recent directive to increase the country’s production of fissile material in order to expand its nuclear arsenal,” the report said.

The news comes amid growing fears North Korea could conduct its first nuclear test since 2017.

This week, Kim Jong-un was seen inspecting nuclear warheads at a secret location amid his vows to build up his country’s nuclear capabilities.

On the same day he unveiled new, smaller nuclear warheads to be mounted on smaller weapons. It is unknown if these miniature nuclear warheads are fully developed, but such weapons are part of Kim’s larger nuclear plans.

North Korean state media said Kim ordered the production of weapons-grade material in a “far-sighted manner” to “exponentially” increase the country’s nuclear arsenal.

The tyrannical leader also condemned the increased military exercises by South Korea and the United States this week.

The US, along with South Korea, launched some of its largest military war games off the border with North Korea in March.

Kim ordered his troops to stand by in response to the US and South Korea’s “frantic preparations for war” – which he sees as an invasion test.

The US has been busy strengthening its alliances in the region in the face of a mounting nuclear threat from North Korea, with a record-breaking 70-plus missile tests last year.

Undeterred, North Korea has constantly developed and mass-produced new missiles.

In early March, Kim tested his new underwater nuclear drones, which his regime claims are capable of triggering a “radioactive tsunami.”

Dubbed “Haeil” or Tsunami, the drone system is designed to conduct sneak attacks in enemy waters. During the March 23 exercise, the “secret weapon” cruised underwater for 59 hours before detonating off the east coast.

Alongside Kim’s provocative tests, his regime continues to make statements about the readiness of its “nuclear strike force” as they ramp up testing of its ICBMs.
