Many of us are welcoming the arrival of spooky season. We can’t wait to show our creativity costumesor retell scary stories. But for some, the time of the witches and warlocks is deeply frightening – and only the strongest, most god-fearing could make it out alive.
That is aat least according to Jamie Gooch, a mom from central Texas. In a recent interview (which has since gone viral) with local TV station KWTX, she warned her fellow moms about this season’s biggest threat: Hocus pocus 2— yes, the movie — which came out September 30 on Disney+. And while many Streaming the sequel are Gooch does this out of nostalgia, believing that if you press play, something far darker and more dangerous can emerge.
“A worst-case scenario is you give your kids and your home hell‘ said a gloomy gooch. OK, sure, I mean, in general, it seems like “don’t let hell fall on your kids”. a good parenting tip.
She continued and began to cry, “It saddens me the thought of exposing our children to the darkness.” Gooch’s family “didn’t go along with it Halloween” for five years: “That’s how we live our lives.” Those poor, poor kids.
For Gooch, there isn’t “just one movie”: “I think whatever’s coming on our TV screens, there are things that are connected to it. I’ve seen for myself the things that I’ve seen with my eyes or heard through a TV screen, they manifest in real life,” she said. “Everyone thinks it’s wrong and innocent but they could cast any kind of spell they want, anything could come into your home through that TV screen.” Is it just me, or is Gooch more witchy than she gives credit for ?
Gooch originally posted her warning on Facebook a few days before posting it Hocus pocus 2: “As mothers and wives, WE are the gatekeepers of our homes,” she said in the post, which also went viral – prompting her appearance on local TV. “So before you press play on the premiere night of this film, please ask yourself if not only your mind, but also that of your children, is strong enough to ward off the hypnosis of the world’s coming evil.”
Honestly, when a Disney movie – a Consequence moreover – being able to manipulate us into becoming conduits for evil demons, I’m more impressed than anything. Anyway, thanks Gooch for paying attention. I’ll say that though, considering how viral it is Warnings gone, I wouldn’t be surprised if this turned out to be some grassroots promo activity – it’s far better PR than anything Disney has put out.
