Hibs completes the free transfer for Jordan Obita

The 29-year-old defender has signed a two-year contract with Easter Road after leaving Wycombe Wanderers in the summer.

Hibs also has the option to extend the contract for another season.

Obita – who can also play as a left winger – previously spent a decade at Reading with stints at Barnet, Gillingham, Portsmouth, Oldham and Oxford.

Last season he made 34 appearances for League One club Wycombe before leaving for Scotland when his contract expired.

At the signing, Hibs boss Lee Johnson said, “We’re excited to bring a player of Jordan’s experience to the Football Club.”

“He gives us extra options all along the left flank and his set piece skills will add an extra dimension to the squad.

“We look forward to working with him.”
