Scroll down for Chiefs and Eagles NFL stats.

Arizona is hosting the Super Bowl for the fourth time, three of them since 2008. But the Super Bowl gave Miami the most love. It has hosted 11 times and New Orleans has hosted 10 times.

rating dominance

NBA Finals Game 6 was the next highest sport to receive ratings. It came in at number 28.
I love these ads
Fox has reportedly set its price for Super Bowl advertising at $7 million for a 30-second in-game window. It marks a steep increase from the cost of running a commercial in previous years. $7 million for 30 seconds is about $233,333 per second. Super Bowl advertising costs per year:
2023: $7 million
2022: $6.5 million

Big bets
The Super Bowl is said to be the biggest sports betting day of the year.
In 2018, the Supreme Court overturned the federal ban on sports betting, allowing states to legalize it if they so choose. Now 36 states offer legal US sports betting either in person or online. Arizona joined this group and live betting was introduced in September 2021.
According to Sportsbook Review, Americans wagering increased from $44 billion in 2021 to $74 billion in 2022, a 70% increase.
By 2018, the NFL was working hard to distance itself from betting. But the league has made a complete about-face with the big money at stake.
love and facts
In recent years, it has been claimed that more women are victims of domestic violence on Super Bowl Sunday than on any other day.
According to Snopes.com fact-checkers, this claim is false.
The following details are from Snopes: The claim that Super Bowl Sunday is “the biggest day of the year for violence against women” is a case study of how easily an idea consistent with what people want to believe implanted in the public consciousness can be anointed as “fact” even when there is little or no supporting evidence behind it. Christina Hoff Sommers chronicled a timeline of how the apocryphal statistics on Super Bowl Sunday domestic violence were widely (albeit erroneously) published over the course of a few days before the January 1993 Super Bowl in Pasadena.

duel in the desert
