‘HE LOST IT’: Should President Biden run for re-election? Americans weigh in

Americans across the country have debated whether President Biden should run for re-election in 2024, with a large majority telling Fox News not to seek a second term.

“No, I don’t think Biden should run again,” said Emma, ​​a Nashville resident. “I just think he’s too old and he’s lost his mind and people have really lost respect for him.”

But David, from Washington, DC, disagreed.

“He’s got the most experience of anyone since he’s been on the Hill for over 36 years,” David told Fox News. Of the more than two dozen Americans Fox News polled, only one other person supported Biden’s quest for a second term.

Biden, 80, has not officially announced a reelection bid. He entered the White House in January 2021 as the oldest elected presidential candidate and would leave office at age 86 should he serve a second term.

Another Nashville resident questioned Biden’s mental acuity.

“I think he’s incompetent,” the man told Fox News. “He can’t even finish sentences.”

A man from Yuma, Arizona, said he believes Biden may not be fit for office.

“I’m not sure if he’s going to be ready for that physically or frankly, cognitively,” he told Fox News.

Biden represented Delaware in the US Senate for 36 years before serving as vice president under Barack Obama from 2009 to 2017. The octogenarian has been repeatedly criticized for whether his age affects his performance as president.

“I think we need a younger voice and a younger face in the Democratic Party presidential nomination,” Aidan, a Bellingham, Wash. resident who voted for Biden in 2020, told Fox News.
