Harry Styles is back and his fans have missed him.
The English pop star’s comeback track “As It Was” got off to a flying start in the UK and took pole position in the chart race.
Based on sales and streaming data for the first 48 hours of the cycle, “As It Was” has more than doubled the combined sales of its closest competitor, Dave’s “Starlight”.
If it holds its position, Styles will have a second UK #1 solo single, following 2017’s “Sign Of The Times,” and sixth, including his recording career with One Direction. “As It Was” is the first track from Style’s forthcoming third album. harry’s house, his first full-length studio offering since 2019 fine line.
Based on the chart storm, Dave’s run at No. 1 will end after four weeks with “Starlight”, a record for a British solo rap single.
