Great Expectations premieres on Hulu
Extraordinary Assumptions will be available on Hulu in the US on Walk 26, 2023. The arranged creation is based on Charles Dickens’ 1861 book of a similar name. The first two episodes of the six-part limited series will be delivered on Walk 26. As per a statement from FX on Feb. 7, the excess episodes would track the launch week-to-week on Sundays.
Fionn Whitehead will play Pip, Olivia Colman will play Miss Havisham, Ashley Thomas will play Jaggers, Johnny Harris will play Magwitch, Shalom Brune-Franklin will play Estella, Hayley Assistants will play Sara, Owen McDonnell will play Joe, Trystant Hurricane will play Compeyson , and Matthew Berry will play Mr. Pumblechuck. Steven Knight composed and directed the program. He is best known for writing screenplays for the films Shut Circuit, Filthy Pretty Things and Eastern Commitments and for coordinating Locke and Hummingbird.
What can you expect from Hulu’s extraordinary assumptions at any point?
On February 7th, the mystery trailer for Extraordinary Assumptions dropped, giving fans their most memorable glimpse of the extraordinarily anticipated program. The video showed Pip entering a room from Fionn Whitehead and being greeted by Olivia Colman’s surprise Miss Havisham. Colman is no longer odd for verifiable plays, having recently played Sovereign Anne in The #1 and Sovereign Elizabeth in The Crown.
As stated by Miss Havisham,
“Allow me to see you. What important animal species we have recovered from the water.”
The secret reveals that a massive amount of money was spent on the show’s cosmetics, outfits, and set plan. Joining Marina Brackenbury and Dough Puncher, BBC senior member David W. Zucker, Kate Crowe and Mona Qureshi, Tom Tough and Ridley Scott will serve as leader makers. FX Creations, the BBC, Scott Free and Tough Child and Dough Puncher will be joining forces on this task.
However, that won’t be the case once Incredible Assumptions is first adapted for the big screen. The book was adapted into a three-part BBC series in 2011 and a similarly named Element film in 2012. Gillian Anderson played Miss Havisham, Douglas Stall played Pip and Beam Winstone played Magwitch in the 2011 revamp. Ralph Fiennes played Magwitch, Jeremy Irvine played Pip and Helena Bonham Carter played Miss Havisham in the 2012 film. Steven Knight, the show’s creator, did recently created Peaky Blinders, which starred Cillian Murphy, Sam Neill, Helen McCrory and Paul Anderson, among others.

Extraordinary Assumptions is Charles Dickens’ twelfth and last completed book, delivered in 1861. The plot revolves around Pip, a tramp who acts as a metalworker’s student in a rural area. His head is full of expectations and assumptions and his karma amazingly draws him to London where he joins high society but quickly becomes entangled in a murky universe of possible outcomes after meeting Miss Havisham.
As stated by Goodreads, the synopsis of the original is as follows:
Incredible Assumptions follows Pip from adolescence into adulthood as he moves from the swamps of Kent to busy, corporate London and encounters various phenomenal characters, from Magwitch escaping the convict to Miss Havisham dealing with her miserable past is secured, and with her lives her ward, the overbearing, lovely Estella.”
Pip should find out something about himself, his cravings and needs, and what satisfies him.
