Grand Valley Marine is closing its 28th Street location

GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) – Grand Valley Sport & Marine has announced that it is closing its original 28th Street store after nearly 60 years in business.

The boat shop first opened in 1964 at the 28th Street location and has since included locations throughout Michigan. The dealership has closed all but two locations since the 1980s Dealer’s website. With this closure, the owner informed News 8 that the remaining employees will be transferred to the Torch Lake location.

The company is selling all of its inventory in a one-day online auction of over 180 inventory items. This includes new model Tritons, pontoons, new engines, fishing boats, trailers, forklifts, tools and more.

The online auction is being conducted by Orbitbid and will take place on October 18th from 8am to 6pm
